
One of the main activities of Euronet Magyarország Informatika Zrt. is telecommunications services, network construction, and operation. This may seem a little boring today, but when our company’s predecessor, Euronet Kft., began building and operating telecommunications and other networks at military bases as a subcontractor for the American service providers S-FOR and K-FOR in 1994, it was novel and highly innovative. And that’s when we fell in love with it.
We participated in increasingly large and significant projects (bases in Bosnia and Kosovo, Malév LRI, telecommunications service providers, office buildings) and, based on this experience, we launched our sub-central business line in 1999. The capital forged from our business success, achieved through the satisfaction of our clients, laid the foundation for the establishment of a joint-stock company and thus created the opportunity to actively enter the domestic market.
Thus, in November 2000, we entered the telecommunications service provider market under the name Euronet Magyarország Informatika Rt.
Since then, the company has been owned by Hungarian private individuals.
On September 11, 2006, our company’s name was changed to Euronet Magyarország Informatika Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (Euronet Magyarország Zrt. for short).
Intelligens Rendszerek Divízió Kft. merged with Euronet Magyarország Informatika Zrt. in 2008, where it operates as an independent software business unit and division. This strengthened the company’s service portfolio, as we were able to support the installation and operation of networks and hardware with our own software and software developers, raising it to a professional level.
This is how telecommunications services, network construction and operation became our core activities, giving rise to the CRM, Contact Center and enterprise management business lines, which we were able to perfect with our software development experience.
Within a few years, software development became our other key activity. We have a number of our own flexible software solutions, including the ChaRM integrated enterprise management system, the maverix provisioning system, and the Exten virtual telephone exchange.
We have gained recognition on the international market with the Genesys Contact Center solution and the Asterisk PBX system.
We have continuously expanded our range of activities, always keeping in mind that our customers receive the most optimal solutions available on the market. We have reorganized the internal structure of the company, introduced ISO 9001 quality assurance, and focused on more efficient work, cost reduction, specialization in the given field, and the provision of professional services.
